Such a graphic account of a shared experience. The flashing lights were the beginnings of an anxious journey into the world of pvds.No mention of laser treatment was raised in my case Is this a preventitive of further possible damage?
Is there a on going risk of further such events?
As travel insurance does
not cover this condition
I have sadly cancelled our trip to Europe

I had a posterior vitreous detachment, better known as PVD, apparently a tear in my vitreous caused him to detach from the wall of the retina.
